The "la Caixa" Foundation has announced the results of the 2025 call for proposals for its CaixaImpulse program, through which it supports 31 biomedical projects from research centres, hospitals and universities in Spain and Portugal. The iCor team at the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital and Research Institute is the first in Spain to enrol a patient in the international EASY-AS study, a clinical trial to evaluate whether intervening before the first symptoms of severe aortic stenosis appear can improve clinical outcomes.
