CMCiB in a nutshell

CMCiB is a unique preclinical research centre and advanced training facility, designed to facilitate a wide range of preclinical studies along the development track, ultimately enabling advances in biomedical research to reach the patient.

Serving as a pivotal tech-transfer tool within the international health ecosystem, it has hosted multiple projects and fostered public-private collaborations that have contributed to bringing research outcomes to clinical trials or the market.

As a strategic project of the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) at the Can Ruti Campus in Badalona, its mission is to become a European reference centre in biomedical research and translational medicine, fully embracing the 3R principles and the highest quality standards.
