CMCiB hosts the 4th ISMISS/MIS & Endoscopic Spine Forum

On March 27 and 28, took place the 4th edition of the ISMISS/MISS & Endoscopic Spine Forum organized by the Morgenstern Institute and the International Society for Minimal Intervention in Spinal Surgery (ISMISS). The event brought together over a hundred surgeons from 25 countries around the world, along with renowned expert instructors in minimally invasive endoscopic spine surgery, at the Teknon Medical Centre and the Comparative Medicine and Bioimaging Centre of Catalonia (CMCiB).

During the second day, the CMCiB-a strategic project of the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP)-had the opportunity to host participants for a hands-on cadaver workshop in its state-of-the-art surgical facilities. Leading global companies in spinal endoscopy, such as Unintech, MaxMoreSpine, Riwospine, and Elliquence, shared their expertise by instructing on both basic and advanced techniques across various types of endoscopic surgery, including transforaminal and interlaminar, cervical, and lumbar interbody fusion procedures.

The decision by the organizers, Dr. Christian Morgenstern and Albert Morgenstern, to hold part of the forum at CMCiB highlights the excellence of its cutting-edge and fully equipped facilities, perfectly suited to host international surgical training for healthcare professionals.
