Training

The 3R policy for animal research is fundamental to the mission of the CMCiB. As well as extensive training for personnel on the campus the team can provide training in legal and procedural matters as well as consultations on experimental design.

Promoting responsible research

The CMCiB and the Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee (CEEA) organises a series of training seminars on pre-clinical research and in particular preparing and planning applications for scientific projects where animals are required for experimentation. Topics include introducing researchers to new techniques, use of the new animal models offered at the centre and the promotion of responsible research.

The seminars are educational and mainly practical, aimed at resolving doubts and increasing knowledge about many aspects of the preclinical research environment. This complies with one of the main objectives of the CMCiB, which is the promotion of more responsible preclinical research.
